Dr. Arnold S Trebach
Drug Policy Foundation 4455 Connecticut Ave
NW, Suite B-500 Washington, DC 20008-2302 U.S.A.

Dear Arnold,
I just thought you might like to hear some very delayed feedback from some police in Australia about the talk you gave in Melbourne roughly five years ago. You may recall the occasion as Dr Donald McDonald let the audience know in no uncertain terms that he did not regard you as a very nice person. Anyway, my informant, who is fairly senior in the drugs policy area in the police force told me that meeting made a number of senior police in Australia think for the first time about the wisdom of prohibition. Your efforts seem to make some contribution towards this change of perceptions but your compatriot from the DEA was even more influential in turning some of the Australian police away from prohibition. It is about time we got you to come here again but next time we will make sure you bring more of your opponents with you.

Best wishes.
Yours sincerely,
